Hailijin

The HLJ deposit (Hailijin sandstone-type uranium deposit) is located in the south-west Songliao Basin.

The orebody of the HLJ uranium deposit is tabular-shaped and multi-stratiform.

Ore bodies in the HLJ deposit are hosted in gray sand bodies between the upper and lower oxidation zones and typically form plate-shaped or sheet-like geometries. The lower oxidation zone exerts the greatest influence, particularly on Layer II. Sandstones within the oxidation zones display purple-red, brownish-yellow, and light brownish-yellow colors, reflecting different degrees of oxidation. Ore bodies in Layer II are 8.50–22.00 m thick, with an average grade of 0.0455%, an average uranium content of ∼ 10 kg/m2, and a maximum of 52 kg/m2.
