West Basset Mine
The Engine House at Thomas Shaft just north of the road near Piece (SW 6815 3970) is the only significant landmark left of this mine. The remainder has been completely removed leaving just a few fields of rough grazing. However across the road from the engine house a footpath leads to South Wheal Frances past Old Skip Shaft and Richard's Shaft with very small dumps at both.
