A former U-Mo occurrence/mine located in the center of E (sec. 24), E½ sec. 25 & in sec. 26, T29N, R9E, G&SRM, 3.6 km (2.2 miles) ESE of Cameron, 1 mile N of Tanners Crossing over the Little Colorado River.

Mineralization is a U-Mo deposit hosted in Late Triassic mudstone of the Lower Petrified Forest Member Of Chinle Formation. The ore body is lenticular at a width of 30.48 meters and a length of 60.96 meters. Autunite occurs in a north-trending paleochannel in the lower part of Petrified Forest Member. Cobalt-rich pyrite, umohoite, and ilsemannite coatings were identified. Controls for ore emplacement included carbonaceous material. The highest U content is along a fault in the channel that may have provided passage for solutions up through the Shinarump member. A series of flowing springs issue from the bottom of the mine along a fault line which traverses the pit. Ore control is carbonaceous material with the highest uranium content along a fault in the paleochannel which may have provided passage for solutions up through the Shinarump member. Local alteration includes halos of jarosite, hydrous iron oxides, sericitized feldspar, and an increase in traces of Mo near the ore. Local rocks include rocks of the Chinle Formation.

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised mostly of 2 open pits at 40 feet deep, with ranges of 10 to 125 feet of stripping. Maximum depth of 140 feet with very few adits, 2 shafts at 40 feet deep (replaced by the 2 open pits) and underground rooms.

Production was 1,811 tons of ore @0.23% U3O8; 0.07% V2O5 (1957-1960).
