Alteration: Strong Hydrothermal Alteration In The Area.

Deposit: Orebodies are veins in limestone and shale and replacements in limestone at quartz monzonite contacts

Development: District was discovered in 1867, 10-stamp mill installed in 1870, small lead smelter built and operated until 1873; renewed activity in 1905 with intermittent ore shipments through 1945

Ore(s): Fault Fissure, Fracture Systems; Occasionally, Bedding Plane
