Simdde Dylluan, worked from the 18th Century, and probably earlier, worked the same loads as the nearby Drysycoed Mine. Between 1826-40, over 4000 tons of ore were sent to the smelters at Swansea, 1032 tons being sold in 1832, making this almost the highest recorded annual sale of any of the Snowdonia copper mines.

Working was intermittant and later promotional claims for the mine in the 1880s appear somewhat ambitious. The final working, in conjunction with Drysycoed, was in the early 1900s. At this time Simdde Dylluan had reached a depth of 116 fathoms from surface, the deepest of any of the Snowdonia mines.
