The Qianchen gold deposit is a large gold deposit (>50 t of Au) located in the southern part of the Jiaojia gold belt. The gold deposits occur mainly in the Linglong granite and Archean metamorphic rocks, locally accompanied by lamprophyre and diorite porphyrite. There are over 34 gold ore bodies, which are often veined and show the characteristics of pinch and swell, with Au grade showing a range of 0.05 g/t to 16.68 g/t with an average of 2.45 g/t.

The economically important orebodies at Qianchen are represented by I-2 and II-10 Orebodies. The I-2 Orebody, being the largest at Qianchen, holds over 20 t of Au and accounts for 44.09 % of the total metal reserve. It is up to 976 m and 572 m in length and width, respectively, and varies in thickness from 1.20 to 34.80 m (Avg. 5.32 m), with an average gold grade of 2.70 g/t. The II-10 Orebody (Avg. 5.26 g/t) makes up 27.73 % of the total metal reserve at Qianchen, and is up to 740 m and 530 m in length and width, respectively, and features a thickness range of 1.20 to 30.98 m (Avg. 4.76 m). The Qianchen gold mineralization and alteration can be divided into three stages, namely pre-ore K-feldspar-quartz (I), quartz-gold-polymetallic sulfide (II), and post-ore quartz-calcite (III) stages.
