A salt-gypsum-anhydrite deposit located 9.4 km (5.8 miles) SSE of Falfurrias, on private land. Discovered in 1911 by Producers Oil Company.

Mineralization is a salt dome deposit (Mineral occurrence model information: Model code: 252; USGS model code: 35a.4 (35ad); Deposit model name: Salt domes: diapiric salt structures), hosted in Middle Jurassic evaporite and the Late Jurassic Louann Salt. The ore body has a depth-to-bottom of 271.27 meters and a depth-to-top of 0.0 meters. The caprock outcrops. The depth to salt is 895 feet. Salt volume is 2.3 cubic miles to 10,560 feet of depth. Exposed selenite deposit covers an area of 50 acres. Local rocks include sand sheet deposits.

Local geologic structures include a piercement salt dome.

Analytical data results: The salt contains 13 to 42% anhydrite.
