Ancient gold mining area at an alt. of 2500-2520 m.
Ancient copper mines started in the 15th century. Main ores were silver- and mercury-rich fahlores. Located near Ruden, about 8 km NNW of Bleiburg.
Not to be mistaken for Ruden in the Asten valley (Hohe Tauern Mts).
