This locality was discovered around 1936 by Boliden AB, partly in cooperation with Kolsvik Malmfelter A/S. Kautsky (1936) describes this locality presumbly as locality nr. 11.
The arsenopyrite and subordinate pyrite mineralisations occur as disseminations and fracture fillings in a system of narrow shear zones (< 1m) and fractures bordering a 120 m long and 25 m wide lense-shaped unit in the Oksdals granite.
Along the shear zone, the granite contains locally a lot of dessiminated arsenopyrite in up to 20 cm wide zones with a reddish colour. Red stilbite veins can be found locally along the shear zone, but are not related to the mineralisations.
The northern border of the granite body includes a system of local shearings and fractures, containing arsenpyrite mineralisations.
