Ciurej et al. indicate that the entrance to the Teresa adit is located on the eastern part of a former quarry. The entrance is a hole in the bottom of the quarry.
The Teresa adit is located within the Upper Devonian–Frasnian and Famennian limestones, cut by cherry, marly shales (Famennian) in several places.
The Teresa adit has a length of 523 metres including 270 m of natural karst caves, altered by mining works.
