In the periods 1882-1883 and 1898-1898 the Liland Kobberverk mining company runned at least two prospects at Lakså. During the first period, some 157 tons of ore were transported to England for further processing. The coordinates are given for the one recognizable on the LIDAR map, while the other one seems to have been built over by houses.
