Structure: Fault Along Rhyolite-Andesite Contact

Deposit: Vein, fault zone bearing auriferous pyrite & argentite developement consists of two shafts, numberous drifts, adits, and small open pits. Sirdevan in his 1913 report has both a mine map and a property map. ; info.src : 1 pub lit
Deposit type: Epithermal vein, Comstock
Geology: The ore lode is a vein along the fault contact betw/ rhyolite and overlying andesite. The vein is a zone of crushed silicified Fe-stained rhyolite from 5 to 15 ft. Wide. The footwall is the fault slickenslide. A cross vein in the rhyolite has been developed for a short distance. Most of the ore is oxidized, but sulphides (gold assoc. W/pyrite) are present at the bottom of the mine.
