Part of Elkoro Mines property
Structure: Crater Range

Alteration: Silicification

Deposit: Part of west vein system. Mine has a horizontal distance of 3800 ft. And a vertical distance of 1700 ft. In june 1919 it was the largest gold mine in nevada enrichment caused by chloride solutions, Fe sulphides, Mn compounds, and alkaline waters. Agency; descending meteoric water-also in part by solution of calcite and solution and redeposition of the gold. Ore chutes are developed to a depth of 800 feet ore chutes are 20 to 150 ft. Long, 4 to 26 ft. Wide, development in 1920 consisted of 4 long tunnels and a 400-ft. Deep winze mill capacity was 125 t. Pd. ; info.src : 1 pub lit vein, fault zone

Deposit type: Epithermal vein, Comstock

Development: Millcapacity (1920), 125 t.p.d. Elkoro mines developed the property after about 1916, milloperated from 1918 to 1933. In june, 191., the mine was nevada's largest gold producer.

Geology: Rhyolite is highly oxidized, with feldspars kaolinized, sericitized, and leverrieritized.

Rock formation(s): Jarbidge Rhyolite
