Copper skarn
Structure: Granodiorite Stock With Assoc. Faults & Fractures

Alteration: Oxidation

Deposit: Copper content of ore ranges from 3% to 50%, but generally contains <10% cu. (schrader, 1935, p 15). First located around 1890. Principal development work done 1901-1904. Main shaft is 196 ft deep. Paleozoic limestone and jurassic granodiorite contact trends N 80-85 E and dips 73 deg toward granodiorite. Faults are subsequent to intrusion. (schrader, 1935, p 19-22). This is one of the nevada-bellevue copper mining company's claims. Property was discovered in 1889-90 by messrs. Warwick, english and two others (schrader, 1912, p 102) the brooklyn mine property consists of 6 claims: brooklyn lode mining survey no. 1972, brooklyn extn. Lode mining survey no. 1972, brooklyn fraction lode mining claim no. 1972, valley vie W survey no. 1972, kentuck lode survey no. 4117, lamont lode survey no. 4118. The mine is located on the 'brooklyn vein', the main granodiorite-paleozoic rock contact. ; info.src : 1 pub lit brooklyn vein; copper content ranges from 3% to 50% cu. Discovery year: about 1889-1890

Deposit type: Skarn Cu

Development: Principal development work done 1901-1904. 6 claims
