A former Pb-Ag-Zn-Cu-Mo occurrence/mine located in the SE¼SW¼NE¼ sec. 3, T23N, R18W, G&SRM, on Bureau of Land Management administered land. Owned by the Mollie Gibson Chloride Mines Company, Arizona (1920). Operated 1900 to 1917. This mine is on the same vein as the Distaff Mine. The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 10 meters.
MOLLIE GIBSON MINE.
The Mollie Gibson is situated south of the Distaff and beyond Chloride Wash, the Bullion-Beck claim intervening. It is on the same vein as the Distaff. It is credited with developments 200 feet in depth and with having produced considerable lead-silver ore, some being of high grade.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in gneiss. The ore body strikes N10E and dips 90. The mineralization is associated with a Late Cretaceous intrusion. Associated rocks include Neoproterozoic granite. Local rocks include Early Proterozoic granitic rocks.
Regional geologic features include Precambrian schistosity that strikes N30ºE. Veins, fissures and dikes strike NW to NNW regionally.
Workings include unspecified underground openings with an overall depth of 60.96 meters (200 feet).
