Non commercial amounts of potash and borate minerals. Major world producer of lithium from brines containing up to 400 ppm of lithium.

Deposit: The playa covers an area of about 8300 ha, geophysical work suggests the playa sediments may be As much As 460 m thick lithium is disolved in brines located in interstitial pore spaces in the sediments general size of ore body is large.
