Deposit: One patented claim mineral survey number 680 covering 18.53 acres. Ore bodies replace lake valley limestone at southeast margin of fierro-hanover stock along two steeply-dipping faults and beneath thick diorite sill. Record # d011683 by clint e. Deposit type: Skarn Zn-Pb
Development: Magnetite mined probably in 1930's. Explored by about 1000 ft churn drilling 1931-1934. July 1937 optioned by peru mining co. Which did 12,000 ft of core drilling. Mine development began march 1942 by sinking two shafts to 375 ft and 675 ft depths. Zinc mining started in 1943 and continued with brief interuptions until 1967.
