A Cu-Ag-Au mine located in the North-central sec. 31, T.13S., R.12E. (Avra 7.5 minute topo map). Owned at times, or in part, by the Mile Wide Copper Co.; and, Campbell & Vreeland.
Mineralization is copper carbonates, chalcopyrite, and pyrite with amphibole and garnet in small replacement bodies, controlled largely by fracture intersections in limestone lenses in Cretaceous arkose. Much faulting and fracturing and intrusion by Laramide quartz monzonite dikes.
Workings include a 400 foot inclined shaft and underground workings. Active mainly in 1917-1918 and in 1943. Total production was some 1,400 tons of ore averaging about 6% Cu, 0.5 oz. Ag/T and a trace of Au.
