The intrusion related to Cu-Au mineralization is Xinwuli intrusion, which is the largest one in Tongling and a series of deposits are distributed along with it. The ore-hosting strata are mainly composed of limestone of the Triassic Nanlinghu and Helongshan Formation. The Baoshantao deposit is a typical skarn-type copper deposit.
