A former small surface and underground Ag-Pb-Au-Cu-Zn mine located in the NE¼NE¼ sec. 3, T24S, R12E, near Ruby, on National Forest land. Produced 1900- ?, 1924-1935. Also placed in the Nogales (Ruby) District. Operated by Mr. F. M. Means and Mr. P. Clarke (1935).

Mineralization is narrow and lensing, irrgular ore bodies striking N45E and dipping 85SE. The host rock units are the Salero Formation and Pajarito Lavas (quartz latite volcanics). Ore control was steeply dipping NE shear zones. Ore occurs as scattered pockets within a NW-trending fault zone. Minor gold, copper and zinc in gouge and fracture fillings; high-grade silver pockets in oxidized pyrite gossan. Ore concentration was epithermal open space filling and minor supergene enrichment. Alteration was marcasite to galena to anglesite and cerussite; pyrite gossan. Local structures include a NW-trending fault zone. Ore is found only within the bounding fault planes; no trace of the host rock is left in the shear zone except for some quartz phenocrysts.

Workings include shallow shaft and adit operations. High grade silver mined from the surface prior to 1900. Total production would be some 100 or more tons of ore in the 1920's & 1930's averaging about 110 oz. Ag/T, 18% Pb, and minor Au & Cu.
