Description: "At Franquenies and Stavelot, the slavikite is often associated with a fibrous mineral. Van Tassel (1956) equates these fibres to fibroferrite, although with reservations." (Hatert et al., 2002)

Habit: porous masses with silky lustre

Description: "On schists at Franquenies, [pickeringite] forms white to pinkish porous masses with silky lustre. Van Tassel considers another substance found at the locality - forming white fibroradiating tufts - to be "ferropickeringite" (7,48% FeO), or, more likely, a mixture of pickeringite and melanterite." (Hatert et al., 2002)
