A former small underground Cu-Ag-Au mine located on 8 patented and 8 unpatented claims in 1969, in the NW ¼ sec. 12, T.14S., R.27E. (R.26E. ?) (Simmons Peak 7.5 minute topo map), approximately 6 miles NE of Dos Cabezas, on private land. Produced 1885-1937. Owned by Ms Ethel M. Pidgeon (1969). Operated by the Parent Mining Co.

Mineralization is spotty copper oxides, and sulfides with magnetite and garnet in a fault block of pyrometamorphosed Paleozoic limestones cut by diabase dikes and with silver mineralization and some gold in a quartz-pyrite vein along a fault fissure and at diabase and rhyolite dike intersections. Major country rock is Laramide volcanics and intrusive granitic rock.

Local structures incolude a major N-S-trending fault running through the area. Mineralization is on the west, downthrown side.

Workings include a few thousand feet of work from tunnels and shafts. First claims in the district. Over 500 tons of ore were produced in the late 1880's. A few tens of tons were shipped in the 1930's.
