A former small underground Au-Ag-Pb mine located in the SE¼ sec. 6, T. 15S., R. 28E about 6 air miles E of Dos Cabezas, AZ, on private land. Owned at times, or in part, by the Cottonwood Mining Co. and the Western Mining Co.

Mineralization consists of spotty gold and galena in quartz-filled fissure veins in Precambrian granitic rocks, near a rhyolite dike. The vein is 1,371.6 meters long, strikes N-S and dips 32E. Host rock units include quartz monzonite, andesite and granite. Associated rock units include rhyolite.

Workings include shafts and are 365.76 meters long and 121.92 meters deep. One main shaft and a smaller shaft down to the 56 foot level. Workings at the 56, 113, 180, and 280 foot levels. Some 500 or more tons of gold ore were produced from the 1880's to 1934.
