Alteration: Silicification

Deposit: Was sunk 130 ft from the portal. The workings were reported by schrader to be mostly in a white quartz vein 10-15 ft wide that assayed good au/ag values. The vein also had streaks of very rich ore in the footwall side of the vein. Veins are banded fissure fillings, irregular in nature. Workings explore a prominent ledge of silicified volcanics with brecciated rock and calcite. Sulfides are said to begin on the 100-ft level. Adit #1 is 430 ft long and attains a depth of 250 ft at the face. Vein reported to carry ore shoots up to 2.5 ft wide with good ore. The samples described in analytical data were taken from this adit. A second adit, starting from discovery site was reported to run 125 ft N along a steeply dipping fault plane with a 2-6 ft vein. Ore reportedly followed the whole strike length of the working and consisted of mostly quartz. At the tunnel of the adit is a 100-ft shaft, the first 60 ft of which was reported to be in the same vein and ore body As the adit which produced most of the ore from these workings, although the workings were expanded As a cross-cut with raises and drifts. About 0.5 mile to the north the vein outcrops boldly for a distance of several hundred ft and is opened by a 30-ft adit-drift known As tunnel #4, from which a winze

Deposit type: Epithermal vein, Comstock

Development: Patented claims. Optioned to snyder after discovery in 1906, worked by 20 men for about a year, with later production in 1910. Tenneco has recently been sampling and mapping the underground workings followed by road-building along the trend of the vein. Prospect was drilled by tenneco, later recommended to be dropped.
