Information from 2018:
There are two granite quarries: the large one is operational, while a smaller and older extraction site lies not far from the active quarry. The latter is completely overgrown and is currently used for storing granite waste material. The large quarry is visible from the motorway, near the Fornos de Algodres exit.



Roto-Bote active granite quarry, DGEG ID No. 3640, was operated by Agrepor Agregados, S.A. (information from 2018) and by Sogral – Sociedade de Granitos, Lda. (information from the 2020 PDM Gouveia).
