Vote for your favorite mineral in #MinCup26! - Quartz vs. Asagiite
It's a classic vs a newbie as the most common named mineral in the crust Quartz is up against an exceedingly-rare sea foam-green mineral discovered just a few years ago Asagiite.

Andersen (1931) described a locality he called Lauvland 1 with as local name "Skavdalen".

After Andersen several new quarries were opened, complicating the question as to which of these was the original Lauvland 1 Feldspar Quarry.
At this point in time (July 2018) there are strong indications that a quarry that before was registered as Lauvland 7 by Stensrud (2009) actually is the most logical candidate to be Lauvland 1.

Skavdalen is introduced as sub-locality to Lauvland, and will include the four quarries and one prospect that are located in this area. This makes sense, while the greatest distance between two of the quarries - Lauvland 8 and 19 - is only 172 m (measured center to center).

Andersen (1931) mentioned several minerals being found in Lauvland 1, but not chrysoberyl.

This also implies that collectors who have labelled their chrysoberyl specimens as originating from Lauvland 1, need to relabel them either as Lauvland 8 or 19.

Coordinates are given for a point approximately in the middle of the cluster of quarries.
