Vote for your favorite mineral in #MinCup26! - Quartz vs. Asagiite
It's a classic vs a newbie as the most common named mineral in the crust Quartz is up against an exceedingly-rare sea foam-green mineral discovered just a few years ago Asagiite.

An underground feldspar mine.

Many collectors call this the Amerika mine, but that is not plausible. Read the comment at Kåbuland.

In 2004 (?) the Kåbuland 6 mine was emptied for water, and many good thortveitite specimens were collected. In 2017 the mine was again emptied, and an even larger quantity of thortveitite was collected, among which a specimen containing at least 1 kg of thortveitite.
That zone is now no longer accessible.
