These are two different concessions but both are known by the same name, Catalina and Micaela. They are located on the Morro de los Prados, in front of Mesón Los Prados, kilometer 26 of the Cabra road linking El Padul with Almuñecar (Granada, Spain).
The exploitation on the right of the ravine, the one located on the hill of the meadows, consists of a small open-air exploitation and a pair of galleries with a mineralization of iron and copper in the form of earthy hematite, goethite, pyrite, malachite and azurite.
Facing this and about fifty meters to the west, there are buildings with a well of about 9 meters deep, now flooded. It is in this area where the minerals of nickel, cobalt, and copper (malachite, azurite, erythrite) are found.
