Ordinary chondrite, black (H5)
Find, 1936; 15.3 kg

A single fragmented stone was found. Olivine [Fa19] and pyroxene ['bronzite'] composition are those of the H-group of ordinary chondrites. Limonite staining is visible in photographs, but the interior is mostly light grey accompanied by darker regions [commonly produced by significant preterrestrial shock(s)]. Large metallic inclusions are reported in some regions. An anomalous 17% dispersion in manganese reported by Schmidt (1972) may, perhaps, be due to a combination of these shocks and subsequent differential terrestrial weathering. A cosmic ray exposure age (CRE) of ~7.3 Ma has been reported.

The largest mass has been at Arizona State University (Tempe) [1947.9 g in 2016] with smaller specimens elsewhere.
