Lenses of massive baryte between 15 and 90 meters thick, in tertiary sands and gravels.
These were exploited till the early 1990s for the oil drilling in the Northsea (manufacture of heavy mud, to prevent the escape of gas).
In 1990, the deposit had produced 1,300,000 tons of baryte.
