Looks similar to what has been labelled 'Marshmallow Rock' found near Mount Magnet. An exploration costean, 100 metres long, was dug on a north north-west trending dolerite dyke, 25 kilometres south-west of Beverley, 500 metres south of the Beverley-Westdale Road.

This revealed unusual mineralisation possibly caused by several successive dykes intersecting into the quartz-monzogranite country rock. The costean revealed grey to black dolerite, covered with cream to pale brown clinozoisite masses forming a 'snow-flake' pattern.

Examination of this showed the lighter areas as zoned sericite/muscovite, or clinozoisite/epidote phenocrysts 3 to 9 cms in diameter.

A few were slabbed and sold as specimens, although this was several decades ago, and are rarely seen now. It was marketed at the time as ' Cats Paw Rock'.
