Chokier is a village in the sub-municipality of Flémalle-Haute of the municipality of Flémalle in the province of Liège in Belgium, located on the left bank of the River Meuse.
"The pyrite-bearing schists (ampelites) of the Chokier assise have been worked in the past for the production of alum between Huy and Flémalle, around Ramioulle and at Chaudfontaine, and for the production of sulphur around Andenne, at Argenteau and at Richelle." (Mélon et al., 1976 and Hatert et al., 2002)
