The Red White and Blue is about half way along the gold belt, and is a series of historic workings dating from 1908 to at least 1912. A picture of the mine found shows a small wooden shack and small stamp battery. Like all the mines here, it was a prospector show. It is said to have been the oldest mine on the field.

It was owned by F. Bellchambers and W. Martin. In 1912, there were seven shafts. The No. 1 Reef had two shafts to 110 and 200 feet down to the water level. No. 2 Reef had a shaft to 100 feet down with 50 feet of driving, and two other shafts to 40 and 30 feet. No. 3 Reef had two shafts down on a reef 9 feet wide.

The source describes nearby prospector shows to the immediate north of the Red White and Blue. Adjoining to the north-east is Red White and Blue North owned by McQueen (surname). North-west of this is a prospecting lease owned by Plush (surname), showing a number of outcropping reefs, and a little gold. Adjoining to the north is a lease owned by McPhee (surname), with three shafts at 50, 60 and 70 feet depth, and 600 tonnes of ore at grass. To the north and almost adjoining is the Sunny North mine owned by E. Carroll and G. Ross on a very large reef.

The prospectors were severely hampered by a lack of water and having to cart the ore to the Youanmi battery 28 kilometres to the north.
