The Reynold's Find Gold Mine is about 10 kilometres north-east of Bullfinch, and 500 metres east of the Withers Find North Road. The historic workings are located in the middle of a bare wheat paddock. They extend 50 metres east-west with costeans and trenches cut north-south across the reef. Outlying workings are likely to have been destroyed from farming. It is on private property and there is no public access.
The deposit is named after M.H. Reynold, who owned the farm, and discovered the deposit in 1932. Modern exploration states it is chloritic quartz veining over a 240 metres strike length.
Shortly after discovery three shafts were sunk to 25 feet over a 60 foot distance, and a trial crushing sent to Coolgardie of 43 tonnes yielding 50 ounces of gold at 16 dwt. Reynold is in partnership with W.J.Heydon, although a Knowles (surname) is also mentioned in 1932.
The Mine's Inspector visited the site in 1932, and dismisses it as unimportant and lacking permanency. Intermittent mining continues during the 1930's. In the late 1930's, the mine is named Golden Promise, still owned by Heydon and Reynold, with Con Krug as mine manager.
