Workings were developed in 1862 on a quartz-iron oxide-pyrite lode carrying copper mineralisation as black copper ore (chalcocite). Host rock not mentioned, possibly limestone of the Kulpara Formation or the underlying Proterozoic basement. Prospects were considered good. A shaft to 27m with crosscut was developed, then an adit driven into the creek bank for 67m. No production was recorded.
