The Regional Municipality of Niagara, also colloquially known as the Niagara Region or Region of Niagara, is a regional municipality comprising twelve municipalities of Southern Ontario.
In 1970, Lincoln and Welland Counties were amalgamated to form the Regional Municipality of Niagara.
