Structure: Breccia Pipe

Alteration: Potassic, Phyllic, Silicified Material Peripheral To Breccia. Finely Brecciated Material In Fracture Zone Has Been Altered (Tourmalinized, Silicified) But Away From Breccia, Rock Is Not Altered

Tectonics: Cascade Volcanic Arc

Deposit: Deposit has been given the informal name of a breccia pipe cu deposit, for which there is no published model. In adit 1, pyrite and minor chalcopyrite occur As small pods along fracture zones; pyrite is also disseminated in the wall rock. In adits 2 and 3, pyrite is disseminated in the wall rock and the fracture zones are barren. 16 unpatented claims. Location map and sketch map of mine workings in moen (1977). ; info.src : 1 pub lit; 2 unpub rept see also mrds record m700180 discovery year: late 1890's

Development: Placer gold on copper creek led to discovery of property in the late 1890's. In 1974 amoco acquired property and drilled for porphyry copper. The exploration work was ended by 1979. Plexus was drilling and undertaking geological and geochemical exploration in 1991

Geology: Breccia is not a pipe, but rather an area of abundant fractures grading into block breccia (stockwork)

Rock formation(s): Silver Star Pluton, Quartz Diorite Porphyry Phase

Ore(s): Fault Zone
