Uley Graphite Mine (S.A. Graphite Ltd; Uley Graphite Sydicate; Graphite Ltd.), Port Lincoln


Opened in 1866, this is possibly the most famous of the graphite mines of the southern Eyre Peninsula, this locality was also the largest producer of graphite (682.1 tons to 1951).

It is believed to have had a proven reserve of 14,500 tons at 15.7% C.


The open cut is now filled with water and the lease is in caretaker mode.
