3 Pits worked in the early 1900's.
These pits were worked about 100 years ago and gold values of
$10./ton were obtained (R. Ennest, personal communication).
Approximately 30 tonnes was extracted.
Medium grained massive amphibolite and amphibolite
gneiss is cut by a network of quartzose and granitic
veins. Pyrite occurs disseminated throughout the rock.
