This occurrence is located on the west side of Mud Turtle Lake, halfway between Gull and Balsam lakes, and is near Norland post office. In lot 5 Conc.11
History:
NOTE: 1902: Production of 3.25 tons of material was valued at $400.
1915: 432 pounds of concentrates valued at $550 were shipped. Up to 1916, a large open cut, trenches and a 50-foot shaft were excavated.
1955-56: Rio Tinto Mines Ltd. diamond drilled 6 holes totalling 1043 feet. Drill core sections included 23 inches assaying 4.56" MoS2 and 0.23% U3O8 and 36 inches assaying 0.385% MoS2 and 0.007% U3O8.
1965: Nocana Mines Ltd. and Texas Kidd Mines Ltd. did surface work and sampled the property.
