Location of several old prospect pits and closed mines. Numerous quartz veins cut the granite. Scepter quartz, japan law twins, and amethyst have been found.
Historically, the area has been worked by locals for quartz crystals for several decades.
Nearby, a locality for twinned floater Orthoclase crystals is also present. About 4.5 miles SW of the town of Norris.
