Ridgeway is a town.

Note: Not to be confused with the village called Ridgeway, which is located within the town of Ridgeway.

The Ridgeway area is an area on the eastern edge of the Upper Mississippi Zn-Pb district notable for a preponderance of lead (galena and cerussite) over zinc mineralization. Ore is in Ordovician carbonate rocks. Few traces of the long-abandoned mines can still be seen (2015).
