Mont Saint-Gregoire is the smallest of the Monteregian Hills intrusions, approximately 700 m in diameter at the base. It comprises of essexite and pulaskite and intrudes siltstones. A small quarry was operated in the early 1900s for ornamental stone. The age is estimated to be 111±6 Ma.
In most of the literature Mont (or Mount) Johnson is used.
