A Cretaceous (89 ± 3 Ma) carbonatite complex that cuts Karoo sandstones which overlie Precambrian gneiss and granite. It comprises silicified carbonatites, dolomitic carbonatites, sideritic carbonatites, manganiferous carbonatites, and carbonatite agglomerates. The margin is marked by a zone of brecciated quartzite. There are numerous small kimberlitic bodies in the vicinity.
