Minerals are found in hydrothermalite. The locality is also known as Rio di Mozzana or "Burzanella" (from the name of the nearby hamlet in the municipal territory of Camugnano).
Baryte forms stubby prismatic crystals, which can appear as pseudo-cubic or pseudo-rhombohrdral, in association with lenticular dolomite. Quartz, calcite, millerite ecc. locally occur.
