Former PbZn-mine in the Parque Geominero Forestal del Cerro del Toro


Mining operations located in the "Cerro del Toro" north of the town of Motril.

This is one of the stratabound deposits of F-Pb-Zn which are located within the carbonate formation of the complex Alpujárride.

Particularly remarkable is the amount of germanium containing Sphalerites this deposit in the form of microscopic inclusions of Briartite and Renierite
