Selb is called the town of porcelain in Germany. There are a lot of pegmatite veins around the town. In former times you could find some granite and basalt quarries around the town, but all are closed for more than 40 years and so it's difficult to find good minerals. The only chance to find something is to look in agricultural fields after working or if somebody builds a new house or a new road.
