Located approximately 15kms North-West of Tambar Springs.

"Stilbite", now known to be Stellerite, was found near here in 1853 by Samuel Stutchbury (the NSW Geological Surveyor at the time) and was subsequently identified by Prof M. Heddle. However the actual location was probably elsewhere in the area, maybe in the Garrawilla or Mitchell’s creek, as this mountain is composed of a Tertiary alkaline volcanic of the Bulga complex, without significant zeolite specimens.
