This locality was reported by Januzzi (1976) as follows:

[Zoisite] variety thulite, which is rose-red to pink in color, has been found in a road cut on the new Route 4 as it enters Collinsville on the south; it occurs here associated with zoisite, diopside, and grossularite.


Based on that report, Weber and Sullivan (1995) listed it as Route 4 construction, Collinsville. Although the locality is on the state highway just south of Collinsville, this is State Route 179 and the road cut is actually in Burlington. According to The Bedrock Geology of the Collinsville Quadrangle by Rolfe S. Stanley (1964), the cut was blasted in 1961 and exposes the Collinsville Formation.
