A dolomite marble "Dolomitmarmor" mine, which was started in 1528 and is still active. The older part of the mine, with its beautiful old buildings and former open cut and adits is nowadays a tourist attraction.
The modern plant, just a few hundred meters to the west of the old mining site, is the last shaft-operated mine in Saxony (2011, for the moment).
The mine is owned by GEOMIN Erzgebirgische Kalkwerke GmbH and is producing a high quality dolomite marble from 12 levels to a maximum depth of 155 meters.

Located near Pockau.
